Are you a polished IT professional with strong database experience in a mainframe environment? If the answer is yes, please keep reading! Our client is one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the area and they are looking to bring on a Senior IT Analyst immediately.
About the role:
- This role will be performed in a medical environment but prior industry experience is NOT required
- You will be responsible for the design, development, and on-going database support in an IBM Mainframe environment
- You will provide automated database monitoring and reporting, ensure recoverability and 24 X7 availability
- You will provide System Programming support for both IMS and DB2
- Research and remediate generic and system-specific vulnerabilities
Requirements:
- Strong Z/OS Administration experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of DB2 Version 7 / DB@ V8 zOS
Preferred:
- IMS System Programming
- DBA skill set
- BMC Recovery/Backup/Change Accum and Pointer Checker
- Experience migrating to HALDB
- REXX scripting/programming experience
